After 37 years, it is time to hang up my Hi-Viz Instructors Bib!
For those wishing to sit there CBT, Mod 1 or Mod 2 tests, you will now need to go beyond our shores to do them. Wick, Elgin, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee….. go online and search them out.
From 31.7.21 the DVSA are no longer able to utilise the old AHS Multi Court. They have known this for several years, and did look into creating a new training ground in Ladies Drive. To cut a long and arduous story short! They have decided it is too expensive, and have opted for Scatsta Airport!
I shall not be operating out of Scatsta Airport, and so have called it a day. Once I have seen the last of my Mod 2 pupils through there tests up to the end of September, the business will close down.
I would like to give thanks to Alistair Carmichael MP, Petur Peturson – Drive Shetland, and the SIC, who along with myself have fought hard to have a more suitable venue for Motorbikes (and Trucks), to train and test on. Despite our concerted efforts, the DVSA have not listened.
Especially, I would like to thank all the many hundreds of bikers, who have followed me, or led me!...In all weathers….so that they could go on to enjoy motorcycling under their own steam.
